In April of this year, the first Safari Park in Sri Lanka will be opened in Sri Lanka.

How said in an official press release, construction work began in 2008 under the leadership of the National Zoology Department. Under the park was allocated 500 acres of land, of which 69 acres occupy a zone of public entertainment. In four of the six zones of the park, predators will live, including tigers and leopards, and in the remaining two - herbivores. At the moment, the work on the construction of roads is underway on its territory, which should be completed by the time of the opening.

According to preliminary information, the project budget amounted to about 1.66 billion rupees (about 405 million rubles). It is expected that the future safari park will become another attraction of the island that will help attract tourists to Sri Lanka.
