According to official data, the tourist flow to Sri Lanka grew by 7.7% in March compared to the same the indicator for the last year and amounted to almost 100 000 people. The main market for the tourist Sri Lanka of the island is Western Europe: for the indicated month the number of visitors was 44 000 people. The five European countries, whose citizens visited the island in the largest number, is as follows:

2. Germany (9100 people)

3. France (7000 people)

4. Netherlands (3100 people)

5. Sweden (2,400 people)

The number of visitors from South Asia decreased by 6, 7% and amounted to 19,200 people. East Asia, on the contrary, improved its indicator, expressed in 11 000 tourists for March. Finally, representatives of Eastern Europe noted growth of 19%, and the number of visitors from these countries was 9600 people.
