Likely there are no tourists who would have visited Geneva and did not visit the historic square of Bourg-de-Fours. It is from here, as a rule, many travelers begin their acquaintance with the Swiss city. The area of the Bourg-de-Fours, according to historians, existed even in the era of ancient Rome. At that time there was a market and every day there was a brisk trade in livestock.
Now on Square Bourg-de-Four, in addition to a beautiful fountain (by the way, it's neither more nor less than three centuries) is a number of historic buildings and city attractions. So, walking along the square and further from it you can see the Town Hall building, the oldest house in Geneva, Tavel, the former palace of justice, the University of Jean Calvin and other buildings.
Not far from the Place de la Fourre is the equally popular meeting place of Geneva and guests of the city - Promenade de la Trey. It is famous for the fact that the longest wooden bench in the world is installed here (its length is as much as 120 meters).
