The Investigative Committee (SC) started a pre-investigation check of Internet service for the sale of Eviterra.com air tickets on fraud.
Eviterra is suspected of committing a crime under Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud) in connection with the illegal sale of air tickets. According to investigators, the Internet service sold to the Russians about several thousand air tickets to different countries of the world, which turned out to be invalid.
In the pre-investigation check, the employees of the UK plan to establish the circumstances of the incident and identify the perpetrators. As a result of the audit, a procedural decision will be made.
Earlier, the consolidator Avia Center canceled about 6 thousand tickets purchased through the Internet service Eviterra.com because of the latter's debts. During the negotiations between the companies an agreement was reached on the restoration of tickets with departure dates from 6 to 11 January. Regarding air tickets for other dates, negotiations are continuing. The Eviterra.com website is closed until January 9.
