Vung Tau, which proudly bears the name of the "Vietnamese Riviera", is located 128 km from Ho Chi Minh City. It is a resort with developed infrastructure, its coastal strip is densely built up by villas, which were formerly the residence of the elite, and then turned into restaurants and boarding houses. There are two drawbacks to it: periodic pollution of the sea from nearby drilling platforms and constant but small theft on the beach.

Nearby - restaurants, cafes, shops and hotels, as well as a small park, which is called - Park front beach. They come here to wait out the heat in the shade of the trees, as well as for the colorful sunsets.

The back beach (Bãi Sau or Thùy Vân Beach) is the only beach in Vung Tau in its normal European sense. It stretches for 3 km from Malaya Gora to Paradise Park and is free of charge, but for the use of a sunbed and an umbrella you will have to pay: about 50 thousand VND per set per day.

The small Silk beach (Bãi Dâu, also Black Beach) is located West of the Great Mountain. Another attractive area for swimming is the pineapple beach (Bãi Dứa), which stretches along Hạ Long Street at the Malaya Gora
