On the occasion of the opening of the International Tourism Salon Pow Wow in Las Vegas, the US Department of Commerce published the final report on the tourism sector of the country's economy for 2012.

The main result of the report is the establishment of a new record of US attendance: in 2012, 67 million foreign tourists visited the country, which 7% more than in 2011. Leadership in the number of travelers to the United States has consistently been kept by their neighbors - Canada and Mexico. They are followed by representatives of Great Britain, who retained the third line, despite a decrease in the tourist flow by 1, 9%. The first seven are closed by tourists from Japan, Germany, Brazil and China.

Separately it is worth noting that the last two showed the most significant growth: 18, 8% and 35, 3% respectively. Such high rates of Brazil and China are due to the simplification of the visa regime on the part of the United States for travel with tourist purposes.
