Kharkiv Art Museum - the main museum of Kharkov and part-time one of the most important museums in Ukraine. Here you can see pictures of such famous artists as IE Repin, KP Bryullov, IK Aivazovsky, II Shishkin and many others, including Ukrainian and European painters. The Kharkiv Art Museum has over 25 thousand exhibits. Among them are not only paintings, but also sculptures and works of graphics and arts and crafts.
Kharkov Artistic The museum was founded in 1905 and was called an art and industrial museum. Later it was renamed the Church History Museum, since its main collection was the Orthodox artifacts. Despite the fascist occupation, the museum's fund managed to be preserved almost unscathed, and after the war it again began its activity, but already as a museum of fine art. Soon the institution was renamed again, and it became known as the Kharkov Art Museum
There are more than twenty rooms in the Kharkov Art Museum, each of which can be acquainted with works of art from different eras and artistic directions. How to get there
You can get to the Kharkov Art Museum if you take the metro. The nearest station is called "Architect Beketov". However, here you can arrive by bus number 89e. The necessary stop is "Hirschman Street". From it to the museum it is necessary to walk about three hundred meters.
The working time of the Kharkov Art Museum: 10:00 - 18:00 from Monday to Sunday, Tuesday off.
