The Pavilion Downtown Dubai - the new specialized non-commercial platform for demonstrating works of contemporary art - was opened on February 24, 2011

There are 2 galleries in the Pavilion, where a variety of events will be held to support young regional artists . In addition, book presentations, meetings with artists, film screenings, art workshops, special events for children will promote the involvement of a wide range of people in the cultural life of Dubai.

At the opening of the Pavilion, one of the galleries featured a light installation of James Clara, in which 300 fluorescent colored light bulbs highlighted the words MEDIA HYPE. The second gallery hosted an exhibition of the street graffiti artist

In the building of the Pavilion located in the Downtown Downtown area of ​​Dubai, opposite the world's tallest Burj Khalifa tower, formerly the Emaar Properties sales office. Now the building has been restored and turned into a public cultural center. A café, a cinema, an espresso bar and a library will also be open here.
