Snake battles

In the northeastern province of Thailand Khon Kaen is the village of Ban Kok Sa-Nga, which is famous for the fact that it contains real snake charmers, writes Culturology. According to legend, about 60 years ago, a local healer saw a vision in which snakes should help local people enrich themselves. From this moment the snakes became habitual inhabitants of the place, which acquired unusual fame because of them.

According to the established tradition, near each house (and there are 140 of them in the village) there lives a snake, which can be both a poisonous cobra and more safe python. Children are taught to treat snakes since childhood, and street battles between creeping reptiles and humans are a favorite entertainment for local residents. Tourists are such spectacles lead to indescribable horror. And this is not in vain: such battles are dangerous both for the participants themselves and for the spectators. The snake can bite not only the caster, but also the idlers looking at her.
