The Great Royal Palace, Bangkok, Thailand

In the hope of returning the former tourist traffic, the authorities of the Thai capital canceled the state of emergency on Tuesday.

" the Minister signed an act on the annulment of the state of emergency, which comes into force from midnight. There are two reasons for this: first, mass protests subsided, and secondly, the city needs to improve the economic climate, "the official statement of the Thai government's press service says.

It is obvious that the outflow of foreign tourists from Bangkok at all not pleased local authorities: for many years tourism is one of the key sectors of the local economy, and its sagging threatens to turn into holes not only in the city, but also the state budget.

Recall that in mid-January, the Russian Foreign Ministry recommended Russians on holidays in Thailand, to avoid traveling to Bangkok due to the aggravation of the political situation.
