Reina Sofia Art Center, along with the Museum of the Prado and Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum are the "Golden Triangle of Art" in Madrid.

Today the museum's collection , opened in 1992, is represented by works of mainly Spanish artists of the 20th century, and the most famous exhibit is the "Guernica" by Pablo Picasso. There is in the museum's collection and works by artists such as Juan Gris, Joan Miró, Julio González, Eduardo Chillida, Antoni Tapies, Pablo Serrano, Lucio Muñoz and Gutierrez Solana.

Today the museum collection is represented mainly works by Spanish artists of the 20th century.

The museum is open to visitors every day except Tuesday from 10:00 to 21:00, on Sundays until 19:00. The admission cost is 6 EUR for adults

Reina Sofia Museum was officially opened in 1990 by King Juan Carlos and his wife Queen Sofia on the site of the old hospital building. But back in 1986, the first expositions were held here. In general, the museum is located in several buildings, in it as in other museums there are several entrances. For a group of tourists a separate entrance, for individual visits is separate.
