June 30 in the streets of Madrid will be a new service, which is expected to appeal to both locals and tourists. From the beginning of the next week, anyone can rent an electric bike.

Specially for the novelty in the capital of Spain, 123 parking lots and 120 parking lots will be equipped, which will work around the clock. The government of the megapolis has ordered 1,560 electric bicycles.

Anyone who wants now has the opportunity to register on the BikiMad website, the official project portal, and order an electric bike or make a subscription. The price of the service for the whole year will cost only EUR 25.

For tourists wishing to take an electric bicycle for a short period, the cost of the service will vary: the first half hour costs 50 euro cents, the next - 60 euro cents.

Madrid Mayor Ana Botelia Serrano is sure, that a new type of bicycle will reduce the level of pollution in the capital. The advantage of an electric bicycle, in her opinion, is that it can be traveled by using electricity and simply by pedaling. The new bicycle can reach speeds of up to 18 km / h.
