Add a review of the literary-memorial museum of Maxim Gorky

Maxim Gorky (Alexey Maksimovich Peshkov) lived in Kazan from 1884 to 1888, also visited this city many times. A brilliant Russian singer Fedor Ivanovich Shalyapin was born in Kazan and lived in it for the first 17 years of his life. It was to these two legendary personalities that the museum's work was dedicated

The museum was opened in March 1940, and since 1983 it became a branch of the State United Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The museum occupies a two-story building of the late 19th century, Baker Derenkova, where Alexey Peshkov worked in the early years as an assistant baker himself

In addition to the main exposition, devoted to the activities of M. Gorky and F. Shalyapin, it is also located here there was a literary cafe "Stray Dog" where the stationary exhibition "The Silver Age" was on display.

Shortly after the opening, the literary cafe "Stray Dog" served not only as a venue for events related to the Silver Age, but also a place where almost all literature -Artistic elite of Kazan.
