The Central Museum of Communications named after AS Popov. AS Popov was established in 1872. It is located in the Palace of Prince A. Bezborodko. Here you can see exhibits on the history of all types of communication: authentic postal sleds, which transported postal fuzz in the XIX century, bells, postman horns, breastplates, postal boules and bags, as well as mock-ups illustrating means of mail transportation.
The exposition presents a unique collection of mailboxes and vending machines for the sale of postage stamps. Telegraphic and telephone sets of all times and peoples, radio, receiving and transmitting devices of optic-mechanical and electronic television of different generations, modern telecommunication technologies.
The museum is located in the center of St. Petersburg; leaving it, you can visit St. Isaac's Cathedral, the Memorial Museum of V. Nabokov, the Yusupov Palace, the Manezh Exhibition Hall, look at the Bronze Horseman monument, stroll along Nevsky Prospekt

Regime The work of the museum: 10-30 to 18-00. The ticket office is open until 17.00. Days off: Sunday, Monday and last Thursday of each month.
