Yandex conducted a survey of Russians' requests to find out where they want to spend New Year's holidays. According to the search engine, in every tenth request for the New Year, users indicate the places where they are going to spend the holiday. Yandex is asked about 35% more vacation in Russia than about trips abroad, RIA Novosti writes.

The leaders among foreign countries among Russians are Finland, Belarus and Egypt - they account for almost half of New Year's requests with foreign names. The Czech Republic, Ukraine, Thailand, Turkey, France, Italy and Latvia are among the top ten countries most interested in the Russians for the New Year. Turkey, which was the leader among tourist destinations in the summer, was now only in eighth place.

About half of the users who decided to stay on New Year in Russia are asking about big cities. Some are interested in specific resorts, for example, Dombai, Kislovodsk and Krasnaya Polyana, Sheregesh and Belokurikha.
