Add a review about the healing springs of Zheleznovodsk

Kavminvody and, in particular, Zheleznovodsk, are good for many, but primarily, naturally, curative springs. In the Spa (or Medical) park on Mount Zheleznoy there are more than 20, practical application is found 16. And for the visit (and drinking water) three are open: Slavyanovsky, Lermontovsky and Smirnovsky. Each source has its own pump room in the park, and all the pavilions work according to the preset hours (essentially the whole day, but with a couple of long breaks).

The oldest source opened in Zheleznovodsk is Lermontovsky. It was discovered in 1910, and it was he who caused the birth of the spa town. The source's well-room was built in 1916 in classical style with a rotunda and columns. The source of Lermontov's source was received in 1964, on the 150th anniversary of the birth of the poet.

Three sources were discovered for visiting (and drinking water): Slavyanovsky, Lermontovskiy and Smirnovsky

Slavyanovskiy spring was named after engineer N . Slavyanova, who made the greatest contribution to the development of healing sources of the mountain in the early 20th century . The well of Slavyanovskiy was drilled manually in 1914 . by hand, and today the mineral water rises from the depth of 120 m . This is one of the most hot springs in Zheleznovodsk: water temperature reaches +50 ° C , and earlier it was specially diluted with ice-cold one-degree water of the Grafsky spring located on the mountain Razvalka . The burette of the Slavyanovsky spring is a compact pavilion in the style of classicism with triangular porticoes .

Smirnovsky spring in Zheleznovodsk

Once there, where today there is Smirnovsky spring, there was a small swamp with water, which in people was called Gryaznushka. But in the 1860's. Dr. Smirnov, who believed in the curative nature of the water, insisted on bringing the source into a divine form. In total, three keys were developed, one next to the other, and they were combined in a common pavilion with a semicircular gallery.

The water of the Smirnovsky spring is very similar to the Slavonic one: that is, it is more acidic than alkaline. If you are going to treat on the water, for example, gastritis, be careful and start talking with your doctor.

Near the pavilion of Smirnovsky spring there is a light and music fountain with an eagle sculpture. In the daytime the fountain simply "sings" (usually pop-motifs of the domestic stage are heard from the speakers), and in the evening it is highlighted with different colors. As for the eagle, he, clutching a snake in his claws, symbolizes the victory of the treatment over the disease.

Other sources of the park are closed for use or abandoned, but close to many of them there are still pretty pump-rooms. For example, this is the pump-room of the Baryatinsky (or Gaazov) source, which can be seen at the foot of the Cascade ladder: it is a stone structure, crowned with the sculpture of the same eagle.
