The Nashchokin House Gallery is located in an old mansion in the center of Moscow, not far from Triumfalnaya Square. Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin has repeatedly stopped at his friend, the well-known patron of art and art patron Pavel Voinovich Nashchokin, he was here and on his last visit to Moscow in 1836.
Gallery "House of Nashchokin" was opened in May 1994 by an exhibition of graphics by Mikhail Shemyakin. The exhibition was a great success, and all of its subsequent expositions were dedicated to the artists of the sixties, whose work was not recognized for many years as an official art. Their names were heard by everyone, but works were still exhibited only in the West.
The exhibition activity of the gallery has several main areas: modern world art, historical and museum subjects (exhibitions of classical art from the collections of the best Russian museums - the Hermitage, the Russian Museum, the Tretyakov Gallery, etc.), photo exhibitions dedicated to the great people of the past century.
