The Garden of Malaysia at the flower show in Chelsea again took the gold
For the second year in a row, the unique garden of Malaysia presented at one of the most prestigious flower exhibitions in the world in Chelsea (Chelsea Flower Show) receives the highest praise.
On May 23, 2011, the opening day of the exhibition , the event was visited by His Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain, who is the patroness of the Royal Horticultural Society. Among the other honored guests who visited the Malaysian garden were the Duchess of Cornwall Camilla Parker-Bowles, Prince Albert of Monaco and Prince Andrew.

From May 24 to 28, the exhibition site was able to get acquainted with the unique and diverse Malaysian plants and flowers. This year the garden project was developed by famous landscape designers James Wong (James Wong) and David Cubero (David Cubero). Last year, the designers presented the garden to the public, modeled as a traditional Malaysian village.

"This year the overall design of the garden was designed in the style of" modern ". In it, we broke a beautiful Asian pond, emphasizing the architectural features of the region. Wild vegetation around created a natural conditioning system. Our facilities are hidden from the midday heat and are "hidden" in the "green oasis" of the jungle, "James Wong shared his thoughts.

Floating piers coming from the villa on the piles led to the gazebo around which the pond is located. Fragrant white water-lilies floated in this pond. Around the garden was installed a brown limestone fence, tightly twined with a vine. Numerous tropical plants and small waterfalls concisely completed the overall design idea

The National Tourism Office of Malaysia was pleased to participate in the annual flower show in Chelsea, aiming to advertise the tourism opportunities of the country through the story of its unique gardens and parks, which throughout the country there are more than 22.

This year Chelsea Flower Show was attended by more than 600 exhibitors from all over the world who demonstrated to the public 17 unique gardens, 100 plants and fruit trees. In general, 250 trade stands were presented at the exhibition
