In Tokyo taxi there is a new surveillance system that tells forgetful passengers about the things left in the cabin.
The main reason for the development and implementation of this system was disappointing statistics, according to which in 2012 in salons of Tokyo taxi customers left more than 53 thousand items. In most cases, we are talking about smartphones and tablets: almost every passenger is trying to kill the time of tiring journeys through the center of the metropolitan metropolis using mobile devices.
The new notification system works by an extremely simple principle: the cameras installed in the taxi cabin take a picture before the client's landing and after his landing. If there is a discrepancy between one image and another in the car, an audible signal sounds immediately indicating the presence of leftovers in the passenger seat
If the test results prove successful, the system will continue to operate in Tokyo cabs on an ongoing basis.
