Montparnasse Tower is an amazing 57-story skyscraper located in the 15th arrondissement of Paris. This huge building is considered one of the best viewing platforms in Paris. From its top you can see a picturesque view of the city.
Brief history
Previously, there was a small train station in the place of the Montparnasse tower. Over time, traffic volumes grew so much that he could not cope with the tasks, then it was decided to move it underground. In its place was erected a majestic structure with a height of 210 meters
The construction of the tower began in 1969 and lasted for the next four years. After the erection of the building was repeatedly criticized. It was the first and last to date skyscraper built in the area of historical Paris

Cemetery Montparnasse
Near the same railway station in the same name area there is a cemetery of the same name, worthy of visit not less than Pere Lachaise, but for some reason enee known.
