During all yesterday, the "main attraction of the planet" - the Eiffel Tower in Paris - remained closed to tourists because of a strike by its employees.

Preliminary notice of staff strike was sent to the relevant municipal authorities last week . In its official communique the syndicate of workers of the tower specified the main requirements: the modification of the existing governance, security and the changing of the current investment program, which would include money from the Paris City Hall . After seven hours of unsuccessful negotiations, the syndicate decided to hold a one-day strike, as a result of which all tourists who came yesterday to the Eiffel Tower were forced to look for another place of leisure .

We remind that the main Parisian landmark is visited by up to 30 thousand people a day and up to 7 million people a year. Only on one entrance tickets daily it is possible to earn up to 350 thousand EUR.
