of the Latin Quarter Add review

Latin Quarter (Quartier Latin) - the old district of Paris, located in the city center on the left bank of the Seine around the famous Sorbonne University. The district got its name because the Sorbonne was taught Latin and there were a lot of students who could talk in the neighborhood.

Today the beautiful Latin Quarter has ceased to be a place where students settle down and turned into a tourist "corner" Paris (the landmark is the Boulevard Saint-Germain). The prices for rent in the quarter are very high due to the influx of tourists.

Visitors to the French capital are attracted by many attractions, the best cafes and coffee shops, exquisite narrow streets that keep the charm of the old architecture.
Walk in the Latin Quarter

In the Latin Quarter are several university buildings, not only the Sorbonne, but also the Paris High School of Mining, the University of Curie, the University of Paris II and so on. Tourists must visit the Pantheon in the Latin Quarter, the Museum of the Middle Ages with the famous ruins of the Cluny Terme, the Luxembourg Gardens and other attractions.

The amazing atmosphere of Parisian life with a mixture of sounds of a typical noisy neighborhood, countless bars and cafes for every taste and style, shops of amazing things and just markets nearby - all this is he, the Latin Quarter. Add to that the Notre Dame de Paris, which is located just around the ... Read entire review

Latin quarter and the Museum of Cluny 8 October 2013 Akuna Matata

Latin quarter begins in the immediate proximity to Notre Dame. There are narrow streets full of souvenir shops and restaurants, where you can have a good lunch.
I would like to advise you to visit the Museum of the Middle Ages (also called the Cluny Museum).
When it comes to the old buildings of Paris, I noticed one feature that is the same for almost all the museums organized in old buildings: there are always a lot of exits and they are very accessible and visible, but the entrance is sometimes ... Read full review
