Yesterday about 600 people were evacuated from the ski resort of Barége, in the south-west of France, due to the threat of the avalanche, RIA Novosti reported with reference to France Press
The French weather service announced the threat of an avalanche due to the heavy snowfall that hit the region. So the avalanche has already affected the neighboring town, after which the evacuation of local residents and tourists began. For those who did not have their own vehicle, free buses were provided. Presumably, people will be able to return to Barezh in a few days, when the threat subsides.
