Simon Hantai in Pompidou

Five years after the death of Simon Hantaï, a French artist of Hungarian origin, the Parisian Center for Contemporary Art Georges Pompidou presents a unique retrospective of his works. Simon Hantai's works are difficult to attribute to any particular trend in painting. Most often, the artist is described as "close to the surrealists and abstractionists." Many of his paintings are bent or broken - so the artist gave them shape and changed the light reflection. The exhibition presents 130 works of the artist, exhibited in chronological order from 1949 to 1990. Visit to her guests in the French capital will be available until September 2.
