TripAdvisor conducted a regular study among its visitors. This time the popular tourist portal decided to find out how often representatives of different countries leave a tip during their travels.

As it turned out, the most generous travelers are the French: 37% of them leave more tips on their travels than at home, in Everyday life. For the French, according to the ratio of "tip houses / tips on vacation" followed by representatives of Great Britain (29%), Italy (27%), Spain (24%), Germany (23%) and Russia (16%). On average, 39% of the total number of tourists regularly leave a tip, and 54% do it from time to time.

The palm of the most demanding travelers also went to the French: 57% of them leave a tip only if the service staff was extremely polite and obsequious. For comparison, the quality of service is a decisive criterion for 45% of Russians, 38% of Englishmen, 35% of Germans, 31% of Italians and 23% of Spaniards.

It is interesting that of those who pay a tip on leave, only 75% give them during working trips
