About the author

An ordinary tarusian, a carpenter by profession, Sergey Zharov is not really that simple - he is an enthusiastic person with golden hands, endowed with the same priceless ability to feel and understand the beautiful. In addition to the professional skills of working with wood, he masterfully owns a welding machine and is capable of creating art from any recyclable material.

About the museum

Museum exhibits are located in the own house of a talented Tarusian, in the exhibition hall and even in the courtyard. By the way, the second floor of his house is a master of all trades Zharov built himself. The first thing that catches your eye when you cross the threshold of the museum is an incredible number of irons: there are more than 100 of them here. Irons German gas, American alcohol, iron "Arrow" for trousers, Dutch, English, coal, heat - which only irons are not here, hostesses will appreciate the collection at its true value.

But not only the irons make up the unique shop of the antiquities of Zharov, there are rare lamps and kerosene, old sewing machines, a selection of postcards and photos with old Tarusa and even an old stapler and a bottle, for cooling beverages. The exhibits surprisingly harmoniously fit into the general interior of the museum, thought out to detail, every detail feels creative approach and devotion to the idea.

Soft soft light, background gramophone music and nostalgic interiors create an atmosphere of rest, putting aside any everyday difficulties. @

The second part of the excursion is a walk through the courtyard, where visitors will find a gallery of original sculptures. Each of them the author created with his own hands, and as material used used metal products that were at fault, which he found at points of scrap metal reception and at landfills.

All nuts, screws, rods, bolts, wires, metal chains, parts machines and other technical garbage.

The result of his work was strange sculptures: on the bench the dreaming Onegin is sitting, next to him there were the grandfather Egor and the woman Kulem, while Bill Clinton is holding a saxophone, Chubais was hanging on the lamppost and exudes joy. However, each of these metal characters to suit their host is good-natured and friendly.

The museum's exhibits can be freely viewed, touched and photographed. All visitors without exception are charged in the Museum of Zharov with a positive, thirst for creativity and leave it in awe
