Monuments installed in different cities, not only tell the story, but also reflect their spirit and character, especially such original and curious as "Yoshkin-cat" (Yoshkar-Ola), "Plumber" (Ekaterinburg), "Kitten from the street Lizyukova" (Voronezh), "Officer and entrepreneur" (Eagle), "Honest traffic cop" (Belgorod). Street sculpture, which is part of the urban architectural ensemble, must meet certain requirements, in particular - it is harmonious and wonderful to look from all sides.
In Kursk, in addition to military-patriotic and dedicated to various celebrities, there are monuments that attract the attention of the residents and visitors of the city. On Perekalskaya Square in 2013, there appeared a controversial debate among the kurans, the fruit of the creative torment of the sculptor Vladimir Bartenev, the monument to all the lovers - "Rendezvous."
Why creative torment? As the sculptor himself admits, the work was not easy for him. Initially, it should have been a composition dedicated to lovers.
Again, according to Bartenev, the bouquet should consist of three roses. But in the process of creativity they turned into wildflowers, which was immediately explained - that this supposedly protects the sculpture from vandalism.
This project caused controversy in the city, but it would probably be worse if they were indifferent to it, and people accustomed to sculpture would simply pass by . And since it evokes a variety of emotions, from positive to negative, it means it was not in vain created . Despite the fact that the attitude to the monument is ambiguous, it caught on in the city . Little Moreover, many people come to him, this is the meeting place of lovers , it is approached, touched and, of course, photographed . Those who loved and suffered, the sculpture is very close and causes easy nostalgia . It is very original, interesting, bright and makes you look and think .
In addition to the sculptural composition "Appointment", one more recently appeared - "White Goose" based on the work of Yevgeny Nosov (next to the central children's library). The city's street sculpture is planned for Kursk nightingale, which should be installed on Katya Zelenko Street.
Walking along the streets of Kursk, you will notice that there are practically no such original and, most likely, unique monuments in the city. And some residents hardly get used to them, but visitors of the city evoke a special lively interest, emotions, and visitors invariably take with them to the memory of excellent interesting photographs made next to a young loving couple hovering with flowers in their hands on the wings of love and already which has become a kind of a landmark of the city.
