One of the main attractions of Zadonsk and the Lipetsk region is the Zadonsky Nativity-Bogoroditsky Monastery, founded here in 1610. Since that time in the monastery is kept his shrine - the icon of the Mother of God, the only survivor of the fire in 1692.
