Ginza is the main shopping artery of Tokyo

Two years after the triple disaster - earthquake, tsunami and Fukushima - Japan's tourism sector not only returned to Japan to previous indicators, but also continues to show astonishing growth. The National Tourism Office decided to draw a clear picture of Japan as a tourist destination, conducting a large-scale survey among recently visited country travelers.

From its results it follows that 96.3% of tourists recommend the country to visit their friends, and 85% want to return there again in the next five years. Their main motives are the following:

- Japan is a unique country completely unlike the rest

- Courtesy of the Japanese

- Impeccable quality of transport, hotels and general organization of trips around the country

- Impeccable quality of service and excellent cuisine

- Harmonious combination of historical and natural places with urban landscapes

On a scale of 1 to 10 among 13 countries in East Asia, Japan received 8, 4 points, which is the highest result.

From negative parties travelers noted only the high cost of the direction. But even in this indicator, a positive trend has been observed: if earlier Japan was called an overly expensive country by 90% of tourists, now their number has dropped to 80%.
