During the Christmas holidays, Val d'Aosta invites guests to relax and have fun in the snow, play sports, get acquainted with local eno-gastronomy and culture, and admire the mountain scenery.

The extensive program prepared for tourists includes holidays, performances, concerts and festivals of craftsmanship in all tourist centers, its culmination on the night of December 25 will be Christmas services . One of the most touching and common traditions of the Valdostan settlements is the Christmas bazaars, help to find an original gift or just admire the creativity of inventive artisans . The big fair Vert Noel will be held from December 3 to January 6 in one of the most picturesque corners of Aosta . On Severin Kaveri square specially for the holiday will be built a whole mountain village with streets and squares, wooden chalets and spruce groves .

Christmas markets will be held in other places: Biona - 4, 5 and 8 December, Chatillon - 5 December, Donnas - 12 December and from 4 to 8 December in Etrubl . Eighth Mobile Christmas Fair Foire Ma rche 'de Noel du Grand Combin will work on December 18-19 and from December 23 to December 28 . At the bottom of the Val d'Aosta Valley, in the medieval outskirts of the village of Bard for the fourth time there will be a festival Noel au Bourg, on December 5 it will open An exhibition at which skilful Valdostan craftsmen will present their own creations - more than 30 Christmas creches . Until December 6, the most beautiful corners of the village will decorate laser projections and festive lighting .

As usual, holidays are accompanied by concerts of church, Christmas and folk music. In the Cathedral of Aosta on December 17 at 21.00 will perform one of the most famous performers in the style of gospel - Brent Jones, accompanied by 9 singers and an instrumental trio. And the next day in the concert hall of Saint-Vincent there will be a concert of the group Free Voices Gospel Choir from Turin, one of the most famous bands performing music of this genre.

In the evening of December 24, in all parishes of the region there will be a midnight mass, after which, according to tradition , music and chants are treated with sweets, Christmas cake, hot chocolate and mulled wine . In many villages there is a custom to arrange "live Christmas nurseries", children are happy to take part in these performances, or organize a festive fires and torchlight processions . In Gressoney-Saint-Jean the mass will be performed under the hymns in German, they will accompany the celebrations in the square, and in Valtournenche before the mass the pastoral procession from Carrel Square will take place .
