Sicilia volcano erupted last night On the Italian island of Sicily, Mount Etna woke up. Its eruption can not be considered a rare case, but often it does not represent a danger. This time it started yesterday in the afternoon, but this morning it stopped. In total, it lasted 12 hours
According to the specialists of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, activity was observed in a new crater on the south-eastern side of Etna and was accompanied by a strong underground tremor - the usual activity of the Stromboli volcano, with a rumble and a lava discharge.
The eruption of the volcano did not affect the daily life of the local residents and the work of the airport.
