The cruise liner Carnival Triumph, which for several days drifted in the Gulf of Mexico, was delivered to the port Mobile in the state of Alabama, RIA Novosti reported. According to the plan, the liner was to be delivered to the port by tugs just last night, but due to the breakage of one of the towing cables, the long-awaited return to the land occurred later than the scheduled time.
The Triumph liner, on board which are 3, 143 thousand passengers and 1, 086 thousand crew members, left the Galveston port, located in Texas, last Thursday and was due to return there on Monday. However, during the cruise in the engine room of the ship, a fire occurred that caused the engine to be damaged due to which it was supplied with electricity by an emergency generator.
