USA fell asleep with snow

Citizens of Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico and Nebraska were caught unawares - weather forecasters warned that in some areas they could fall to 45 cm of snow. In many cities schools, universities and public institutions are closed, and in Kansas and Missouri a state of emergency is declared. The last time such a heavy snowfall hit the US center a hundred years ago, in 1912.

It turned out bad weather and at airports - for the arrivals and departures the Kansas City international airport was closed, at other airports hundreds of flights were canceled. The authorities are worried that the current storm will be the worst in the history of the Midwest.
