European tourists are increasingly using the Internet and social networks for travel planning. According to a study conducted by the research web portal Ipsos, 56% of Europeans use the Internet stably to book hotels and purchase air / railway tickets. This indicator is in constant growth: seven years ago it was only 28%.
The British are the most active Internet users: 66% of the inhabitants of the foggy Albion are fully planning their holidays through web resources. They are followed by Belgians (58%), French (57%) and Germans (55%).
Special attention should be paid to the fact that European tourists increasingly consult on social networks: 20% of respondents said they use facebook and the like for the final choice of the direction of travel. Spaniards (32%) most often resort to social networks, followed by the British (27%), the Italians (20%) and the Germans (19%).
