Most of the water walks in Istanbul start from Ortaköy Pier. This area requires a compulsory walk, there are numerous fish restaurants, open braziers, which prepare national delicacies, benches with silver jewelry, souvenir shops. In this place, Europe and Asia connects the First Bosporus Bridge, one of the two majestic Bosporus bridges, which are rightly considered to be one of the most beautiful and longest suspension bridges in the world.

It was built by German and English builders in 1973, its length between pillars - 1074 meters

Small square near the water is decorated with the Mejidiye mosque, or Ortakoy, which is worth a look at least because it is completely on a mosque and does not look like. This quaint building is more like a small Baroque palace

Around there are comfortable benches and many cafes, in which normal average prices. But there are no tourist groups with rabid guides at all, at least I have not seen it once. From the embankment there is a wonderful view of the Bosphorus Bridge - the Bosphorus Bridge. I especially recommend everyone to go to Ortaköy in the evening, ... Read the whole review
