Thailand in general, and the island of Samui in particular - is not only an extremely popular place of recreation, relaxation, but for individual esoteric lovers also meditation . But also a huge cultural layer, very, very unusual for the European . Of course, the first place among the cultural, architectural and historical sites here is occupied by the ancient and not so large and small, accessible and lost among the dense jungle jungles temples and pagodas . And, perhaps, one of the most beautiful pagodas islands, and e that epithet is not so easy to deserve (for Samui that is not a religious building, it's an architectural landmark) is the pagoda of the temple of Laem Sor .
What is so interesting and attractive this pagoda? Probably, first of all, with its contrasting combination of colors . There is nothing remarkable about the construction of the village, surrounded by beautiful but vivid colors and shrubs found all around here . And then imagine: suddenly on the horizon a magnificent golden something rises upwards and intricately decorated with ornaments . All this stands under a dazzling blue sky on the coast of no less than the blue majestic sea . An inexpressibly beautiful combination of cyan and gold, flavored with a fair share juicy greens, literally photographed, in addition to your desire, cuts into the memory . Well, of course, does not let go for a long, long time .
Entrance to the pagoda is guarded by two scary and, frankly, ugly painted figures with gigantic swords, which are designed to repel (or rather cut off) any inappropriate behavior. For powerful soldiers in the doorway you can see the impressive size of the Buddha statue.
Address: South tip of Koh Samui, Bang Kao Beach, near Banburee Resort & Spa. The easiest way to get there is on a rented motobike
