And, perhaps, one of the most beautiful pagodas islands, and e that epithet is not so easy to deserve (for Samui that is not a religious building, it's an architectural landmark) is the pagoda of the temple of Laem Sor .

Well, of course, does not let go for a long, long time .

Entrance to the pagoda is guarded by two scary and, frankly, ugly painted figures with gigantic swords, which are designed to repel (or rather cut off) any inappropriate behavior. For powerful soldiers in the doorway you can see the impressive size of the Buddha statue.
