Residents of two Spanish cities were evacuated because of fires
In the south of Spain residents of two cities were evacuated: Marbella and Ojena, and also mountain camping in Alpuat because of forest fires that reached the settlements.

Thanks to the operative actions of the rescuers, the fire was localized as soon as possible. Residents of Marbella can now return to their homes. Nevertheless, the situation continues to be quite heavy. As a result of the fires, six people were injured: one person died, five more received burns.

Summer 2012 was unpleasantly surprised by fires not only of local residents, but also of tourists. In early August, forest fires came close to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the famous Garajonai National Park on the island of Homer, the Canary Islands. At the same time, about 400 Tenerife residents were evacuated because of fires and were able to return home only after a few days.
