The flowering of cherry trees in the south of the Korean peninsula will begin this year on average six days earlier than usual, the Korean Meteorological Service reported on Thursday. According to weather forecasters, the early bloom of cherries is promoted by warm weather, established from the end of February throughout the country. Approximately on March 21, the cherry trees will blossom on Jeju Island, by the end of the month - in the southern provinces of Gyeongsangdo and Chollado. During the first week of April, cherry trees will be covered with flowers in the central provinces of the country.
