Big Bogoroditsky Assumption Monastery
Naturally the main city sights Tew is a monastery with an ancient Cathedral of the Assumption at it. According to historical documents, this cathedral was laid as far back as the 16th century by order of the Moscow Tsar Vasily Ivanovich, the father of the legendary Ivan the Terrible.
