Many years ago this land belonged to the state councilor Grigory Strukov, who managed the salt fishery in Ilets. Here Grigory Nikanorovich built himself a mansion and broke the garden.
But later Strukov went to Sol-Iletsk, and the garden was abandoned and no one needed. After a while the park was sold for 900 rubles to the adviser Obukhov, who in turn resold it to the city.
