Once in Kolomna, do not forget to visit the museum "Forge of Sloboda". Despite the fact that this is a young institution (the complex was opened in 2010), there is a rich exposition that will be of interest to both adults and young tourists. Exhibits of the museum "Blacksmith's freedom", as it is not difficult to guess, are various forged and wooden products created by the hands of blacksmiths.
In total, the collection of the complex has about seven thousand items - witnesses to the history of Kolomna and generally associated with blacksmith's craft. At the same time, the museum "Kuznechnaya Sloboda" stores armor and weapons of soldiers of the past centuries (from the so-called pre-Mongol period to the 20th century), as well as objects that long ago disappeared from the household (scales, irons, teapots and much more).
Do not hesitate, an excursion to the museum "Forge of the Sloboda" will be interesting and exciting! Visit the complex takes a half to two hours. As for the entrance tickets, as such, there is no fee for visiting the museum. Tourists at their discretion leave money in a box of donations. The Museum "Blacksmith's Sloboda" has its own shop where you can buy different Kolomna souvenirs.
