Add a review about the Grenadier Bridge in St. Petersburg

Grenadier Bridge built across Bolshaya Nevka, along with Sampsonievsky Bridge, connects the Petrograd and Vyborg sides. The bridge received its name from the barracks of the Grenadier Regiment, which were built in 1803-1809.

After the bridge was rebuilt in 1951, the number of spans increased to eighteen and the diverting part became mettalic.

In 1951, the Grenadier Bridge was rebuilt. The number of spans reached 18, the spans were made in metal. In 1971-1975, a new permanent three-span bridge was built 90 meters downstream by the design of engineer B. B. Levin and architects A. Noskov and P. A. Areshev, all the spans were made of metal. The movement along this ferry was opened already in 1974. The Aptekarskiy Bridge across the Karpovka River was built at the Chapaeva Street at the same time as the new Grenadersky Bridge
