Add a review about the Voznesensky Bridge in St. Petersburg

The bridge over the Griboedov Canal along Voznesensky Prospekt. In 1728, the wooden church of the Ascension was built in the cemetery for the "working people" behind the channel, which was called the Deaf or Krivushi (now the Griboyedov Canal). Therefore, the road leading from the Admiralty Gate was called Ascension Prospect, and the bridge built by the Vsesnensky Bridge built on it through the Deaf River

The length of the Ascension Bridge is 19.3 meters, width is 20 meters

During the Great Patriotic War the crossing was damaged explosions of bombs and shells. Part of the broken runs was replaced by metal beams. In 1957, according to the project of B. B. Levin and L. A. Noskov, the Ascension Bridge was completely rebuilt, all the spans became metallic. The fencing and floor lamps with lanterns were updated
