Russian Railways is preparing to introduce new rules for issuing tickets for long-distance trains

Beginning on December 1, among other personal data passengers will have to indicate the date and place of their birth - that is required by the amendment to the Federal Law "On Transport Security" that comes into force. Thus, for the purchase of a travel document for railway flights, the following information will now be required:

• surname, first name, patronymic,
• series and passport number (or other identity document)
• date and place of birth. @

As specified by the press service of the Russian Railways, additional data are recorded in the carrier's database, but not on the ticket itself.
