Add a review about the center of contemporary culture "Garage"

Contemporary art for the average person always seems to be something far away, and sometimes completely incomprehensible. No professionals here can not do. They help on the other hand look at the usual things, create a basis for the development of new thinking. Only the true desire to share the achievements of culture and art is able to spur on the creation of such large projects as the Center for Contemporary Culture Moscow (CCC Moscow Garage).

The Center opened in 2008 as an experimental exhibition space. This is the platform on which the development of the national culture is taking place: exhibitions, educational seminars, lectures, film screenings and master classes for both adults and children. Visitors can get acquainted with the achievements of modern Western art, as well as learn more about the young generation of Russian artists.

The Center implements tremendous large-scale projects - one of which was the video work of Christian Markley "The Clock". The film, mounted from excerpts with images of clocks in various movies in a continuous 24-hour video, was shown in real time synchronized with Moscow time

The first building of the "Garage" was designed by avant-garde Konstantin Melnikov and built in the 1920s century, and belonged to Bakhmetevsky bus park . A huge empty space was as if created for exhibitions and art-sites . The trapezoid building with a total area of 8575 sq. m . m, not having partitions, can rightly be called "o pure form bamboo ". Bakhmetevsky garage was visited by more than 1 million people during the existence of the exhibition space . However, at the end of 2011 Garage announced the move to the Central Park of Culture and Leisure . Gorky .

Since that time a new page in the history of "Garage" has begun, which continues to strengthen its positions in the field of creative experiments and educational initiatives . In the pavilion designed by the Japanese architect Shigeru Ban, near the Pioneer Pond there is an exhibition hall, and nearby is the educational center . The space of the training center is easily transformed: children's classes can take place in comfortable rooms, and for the time of lectures for adults the pavilion turns into one room and can accommodate up to 200 people .

Obr tional programs for children include music classes, art therapy classes in architecture and photography. Courses usually consist of 10-20 classes and cost an average of 8 to 15 thousand rubles

This temporary exhibition pavilion is ready to receive visitors while there is a reconstruction of the well-known in the 1960s restaurant "Seasons" . The project of a new building at 5500 kv . m combines exhibition spaces, a creative center for children, a bookstore, a cafe, a lecture hall and office spaces . The design presupposes the preservation of decorative materials of the Soviet period - tiles, mosaics and bricks .
