Mille Miglia

The famous motor race Mille Miglia ("Thousand Miles") will be held from 16 to 19 May in Italy. This year it will be attended by 375 cars, including the old models of Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Citroën, Jaguar, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and others.

According to the rules of the event, in the prestigious competition cars of 1927-1957 years of release can take part, and only those models which at least once participated in the runs. Also vehicles that were created earlier than 1927 but registered for participation in Mille Miglia before 1930 are allowed to race.

By tradition, the route will pass through the most picturesque regions of Italy - from Brescia to Rome and back. One of the cities hosting the legendary run is Modena (Emilia-Romagna province), which is called the Italian "capital of engines" (here motors for all famous Italian cars are manufactured!). After the end of the competition, on May 25-26, an exhibition-sale of old Italian cars will take place here
