3 The abandoned Tuscan village was turned into a resort

The ancient Italian village of Castelfalfi with a castle in the Tuscany region turned into a tourist complex. During the last decades it was abandoned and gradually destroyed.

In 2007, the village was acquired by a German travel company and began a planned restoration. Over the past 7 years, the company invested 180 million EUR in Castelfalfi.

Now the ancient village and castle are completely restored and become tourist objects. A boutique hotel, a restaurant, four swimming pools and a golf course also appeared on the territory of Castelfalfi
