The Basilica of St. Anthony of Padua is the largest and most significant church in Padua It is owned and controlled by the Vatican and considered one of the most powerful churches in Italy.
Basilica was built in 1232 -1301 years. on the site of the former monastery, where Saint Anthony lived and accepted pilgrims. Now the relics of Padua's patron are in the chapel at the church.
