Went to the Munich metro without a ticket (they were not supposed to buy a ticket on the train itself, as it is done in suburban trains).
It turned out that tickets are not sold in the metro (train), but only fined. Cash was not available for payment, the auntie wrote out receipts of EUR 40 per person and was told to pay within 14 days.
Not sure if it is obligatory to pay these fines? If you do not pay, than it could threaten the next trips to the eurozone (not Munich)?

The penalty was to be issued on your passport data. In case of non-payment of a fine, there may be nothing, or entry into the Schengen countries can be closed for up to 5 years
