One of the largest ponds in Munich, located in the park, creates a wave that is ideal for this sport. If you walk along the main shopping street of Munich Maximilianstrasse and round the right Kempinski Hotel, go through Hofgarten, cross the Prince Regent Straße and go to the House of Art, you can go to the English Garden from its southern side. My husband and I spent half a day there and were delighted.

At the entrance to the park begins the brook Schwabingerbach with a beautiful and ancient, 19th century, waterfall.
